Adventure Island Rohini Tickets

debut the preview version of "Contact Light" Early preview of "Contact Light" Ready

English abstract: thanks to the donations of over 370 enthusiasts, the restored color film shot from Apollo 11's lunar module during the minutes leading up to the landing is now available in full, in high definition and with synchronized sound in the short film “Contact Light”. This footage is also synchronized with the film shot in Mission Control, also restored to full clarity and with synchronized sound.  To the best of my knowledge, this is the first film to show Mission Control footage with synced sound.  Below you can watch an early preview of this ongoing project. Further donations will allow to expand the project with additional footage and audio. The examination process will be Applied to Apollo 11's moonwalk footage in a forthcoming full-length documentary Called "Moonscape", two by 20 July 2011.

Thank you for the comments and feedback at NASASpaceflight.com , Hobbyspace.com and Karl Sackett .

Light Contact - Preview from Paul Attivissimo on Vimeo . More than 370 fans

donors who have contributed so far to the project Moonscape can finally see the first fruits of their participation: the preliminary version of Contact Light , the prequel of Moonscape .

Contact Light is, to my knowledge, the first documentary to show the world in high definition not only the whole shooting of the camera aboard the lunar module of Apollo 11, which filmed in color throughout the descent to the Moon to the historic first moon landing, but also shooting the men in the control center in Houston, synchronized sound track than that video of the moon.

So far, the filming of Mission Control were always shown without sound and without context, because no cameras were made by sound and no one knew at that moment relates; existed audio communications sent from Houston, but none had been able to match the images with the corresponding sound. He made it with a truly impressive work of research, Britain's Stephen Slater, as described by the Guardian in July this year.

Now, for example, we may finally see the moment when the flight director Gene Kranz asked his engineers the fateful "Go" for the moon landing and communicated the result to Charlie Duke, who we can see while in turn transmits to Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin the "Go" them will make history. With subtitles We can understand the words of the astronauts, now available without commentators who speak to you above.

We can also see the emotions of Charlie Duke when lost radio contact with the lunar module and when it confirms in a broken voice, cries of enthusiasm among the engineers, the Eagle has landed, after they informed him that Buzz Aldrin kindled the light that indicates contact with the lunar soil, saying the first two words on the moon, those that give the title to my mini-documentary "Contact light" , in fact.

We see all this without the colors faded and toned to which we have used forty documentaries made copies of copies of copies of the shooting original. Those who are in Contact Light spills digital films are original, restored and balanced to return the real colors. The result is absolutely fresh and exciting.

Contact Light could not exist without the work of many who have donated their music and technical skills (eg computer graphics, that will clarify in the final version of the documentary the structure of the lunar module to the minute) and without the cooperation of NASA engineers and archivists who have made available the audio. Contact final edition of Light there will also be the sound board and the Mission Control engineers and there will be a famous voice-overs that explain the highlights of the descent.

This documentary would never have reached this point without the economic effort of many fans of space missions (which are listed in the credits), who participated in the collection needed to buy them online and spills are legally available to all. Spending on these films was almost € 2200. Now these images are available to every lover under a Creative Commons license.

If the idea of \u200b\u200bfinancing this documentary inspires you, raise funds to purchase repayments delle riprese della prima passeggiata lunare (quella che verrà descritta in Moonscape ) e delle cinque missioni lunari successive è sempre aperta . Più fondi arrivano, più documentari liberi possiamo realizzare.

Buona visione.

Note tecniche

In this preliminary version lacks several elements that will be added as:
  • the voice of a narrator who, with no overlap with character voices, will explain the details of what's happening;
  • digital animation that shows the 'attitude and maneuvering the lunar module during the various stages of descent (at 6:30 or so, for example, we see that the module rotates on its axis and you have the windows up);
  • the subtitles in some dialogues ;
  • the sound board;
  • the complete audio of the Mission Control;
  • a lunar map that indicates the position of the LM;
  • indication speed and altitude.

There will be an issue in Italian, with a speaker and translated subtitles.

The final version will be published online without the overlay of the site www.moonscape.info and will be available in high definition as a file download and DVD.
