Update on Moonscape Moonscape |

hopes to offer a preliminary version of
Moonscape around Christmas, as I had announced, but I was confronted with a problem fundamental NASA has not released the restored version of the live broadcast of Apollo 11, which is ready for some time.
I am in contact with the appropriate office for months at NASA, but the situation is depressing. Every time I write to change the person with whom I communicate, because the previous one was fired, and by NASA is not, apparently, the slightest interest in promoting the image of one of its biggest businesses, not not yet decided how to deploy the restoration (paid or free, broadcast-quality hard disk or DVD, etc.).
All is not lost, though. I have here a copy totally unofficial but complete and authentic restoration, obtained by people linked historically to the Apollo 11 mission. I can not use in
Moonscape because I'm not allowed to circulate it, but I can use as material for temporary work, and I can tell you that the restoration is truly remarkable. There are points where you see the faces of the astronauts, when they raised their visors, and Armstrong's descent from the lunar module, which before was a vague black spot on a ground beam, is now visible in detail, as can be seen in 'image above.
Meanwhile I continued, thanks to your donations, the purchase of digitized movie: there are notable goodies coming. As for now I can not complete
Moonscape in the manner originally intended, I'm assembling a documentary using a restored version of the moon as direct lines and I'm putting together some demo clips, using the pieces of restoration officially released by NASA, which I hope to show soon. Meanwhile, work continues on the boundary to the music, texts by speakers and supply chains. Sorry for the delay: I'll make sure it's worth it.
